there was red wine…

… and white wine and vodka with 7-up and salmon and bread with salad. And it was good.
Best of luck Brian and Maria. You’ve proved that you know how to throw down a great wedding reception.

ah fireworks. We drove down to East Aurora for the Hamlin Park fireworks on the 3rd. This year we left the dog at home (after a painful learning experience last year). Dogs and fireworks don’t mix… Anyway, the camera came with me and out of 176 shots, these are the best of the best. I was surprised since I’ve never taken pictures of fireworks before. Ended up with some really cool images (be sure to keep clicking on the image to see the full-size versions. The thumbnails don’t do them justice).

Tonight we went over to Chris’ apartment for drinks, cheese (thanks Jen) and rooftop fireworks. Who knew that the Buffalo area has no less than 20 displays going on around it? We had a great view of the area and could see displays in 270Ëš. It’s not the same as being under a single display, but an excellent sight to see, nonetheless.

Now that July 4th has passed, I’ll resume the mindset that loud pops outside the house are in fact gunshots and not firecrackers…
