Home. November 20
Life happens and it’s been entirely too long since I’ve posted. Maybe my writing frequency directly relates to the amount of fun I’m having. Fun up, posts down. Makes sense. I’ll run with that.
I find myself back in Kansas with nothing on the agenda but to sit back and enjoy time with family. I’m missing several events and people that I wish I could be back in Buffalo for. I know I’m where I need to be right now. I guess it means that Buffalo is beginning to feel like home. Right now I need to focus on my options and be leary of the path of least resistance. I’ll go where the opportunity takes me and follow the doors that open. After discussing with my dad, focus needs to be on freeing myself of things that could tether me down should opportunity arise elsewhere. Positioning myself to follow the current is probably the best plan of action.
Right now I’m sitting on the riverbank, poking the fire, and watching the current go by. I’ll hop back in the water after this week.
I’ve posted a “Thanksgiving in Kansas” set on flickr. I’ll be updating it throughout the trip. Looking forward to Thursday as they’ll be turning on the lights at The Plaza in downtown Kansas City. We’ll be there as they flip the switch on 280,000 bulbs.
