What a fun night! I arrived at David DeMarie’s new dance studio to find a line of enthusiastic fans stretching out the door. Of course, they were waiting to meet Neil who was happily signing autographs and posing for pictures. Spirits were definitely high in the room. News 4 showed up to interview Neil. I arrived with a stack of business cards and my camera. Had the chance to meet many of the teachers at the studio, as well as students, parents and other FoN (Friends of Neil?). Everybody was thrilled with Neil’s photoset. That was the source of the grin splashed across my face throughout the night.

I’m really looking forward to working with everybody that was there! So many people expressed the importance of getting photos into the hands of dancers for competitions, promotions, recitals. I hope I can help showcase some of these kids as they work on their dance careers. Working with Neil, the Koguts and photographing recitals has taught me a lot about the world of dance – it’s exciting to be a part of it.
