Subtraction December 27
Happy Holidays everybody!
I’m in the midst of figuring out how to cleanly inject a slideshow into my posts as I’d like to share some of my favorite images from the year. As 2007 winds down I’ll be archiving this year’s images… and perhaps renting a lock-box from the bank to keep a copy.
A few stats from the mighty 2007:
I shot over 400GB worth of images this year. I chose to keep about 200GB.
13,539 images in my database
October gathered the most images – I averaged 75 photos per day.
The majority of images were shot with my 24-105mm lens, with the 50mm 1.4 in close second. This is surprising to me, as neither of these are “my favorite” among my lenses. On that note, I did gain a new appreciation for the 24-105 this year.
f/6.3 is my most-used aperture. I can tell you what ISO and shutter speeds I use most too… or rather not.
This year the site pushed out 12GB of info to over 10,000 unique visitors. I’d be doing it if there were 10 visitors.
Thanks to everybody that’s offered encouragement, comments, praise, criticism, perspective, viewpoints, questions, opportunity, love, confusion, inspiration, laughs and everything else. It’s been a hell of a year in every sense. Seriously.
You’d think that the image within a year-end post would somehow relate to the content. Well it doesn’t. I shot this at work today and enjoy it. Hope you do, too.
happy new year!
edit: I was just thinking… had I been shooting film this would all equate to around 1200 rolls of film. Probably close to $5000 worth, not including processing. yikes.
