This weekend in pictures

It was an exciting weekend here in Buffafalo. What better way to share it than with pictures and video?

On Friday night we finally had the chance to meet the Geoff’s wonderful big sister, Alison. Alison is a grad-student in NYC and flew in for the weekend to visit Geoff. To show her a good time, we went to Prespa where it was entirely too loud to hold a conversation. Staring ensued. I chased bartenders.

The evening ended with darts and drinks at the Buffalo Brew Pub. The ladies discussed the wonders of … some shoe that I can’t remember the name of. Our game of darts dragged out as both teams repeatedly tried to hit bullseye. At that point I’d stopped caring who won and just wanted the game to end — the problem being that there was a group of guys/girls that were waiting for the board. They brought their own darts… obviously serious about the game. Here we were going 10 rounds without making any progress. I’d have been annoyed if I were them. Oh well. I shouldn’t let those things bother me.

Moving on to Saturday. Hilary and I ran around town for some car maintenance. Hilary’s car needed new tires. She’s the proud owner of four brand new pieces of rubber. But, before that… we drove:

We purchased fuel:

We went through the car wash:

We ate Subway… my sandwich got some extra lovin’
sub-a-licious

So we picked up my car at the house and dropped Hilary’s off for the new tires. And then we went back to the car wash (because it’s just too much fun in there)

It’s really important to look as cool as possible at all times. Especially during the drying process.
oh baby

To further the car maintenance theme, we stopped at NAPA and stocked up on some marvels of engineering… the wiper blade. I’ll admit that it took me entirely too long to figure out how to attach them. In fact, it was long enough to allow Hilary to whip out the camera and capture my moments of struggle.
wipe it.

So we picked up Hilary’s car after watching the Dunn tire guy cut off a small line of traffic in the parking lot, then proceed to take a short nap in Hilary’s driver seat. Little did he know that we were watching him. As we cruised home in our separate vehicles, Hilary caught my dashing good looks once again:

The night wrapped up with a trip to a favorite Buffalo spot, the Pizza Plant. We enjoyed many free beers. Thank you bartender-that-shall-remain-nameless. Geoff, I want my card back.

Today, Easter, I stayed in my pajamas until about 3:30. Printed some photos to fill the many frames we have lying around. Finally decided to shower and took the dog to the park. I’ll leave you with the highlight of the day. Oreo almost caught us an Easter goose for dinner. See the video:
